While the ExFAT file system is very useful for providing a compatible volume between Windows and Mac computers, and the SymplySPARK is absolutely compatible with the ExFAT file system, we do not however recommend it for use with SymplySPARK as ExFAT has limitations. It has no files-level encryption or compression support, but more importantly there is no filesystem journaling built in like HFS+ or NTFS.
